Cal-Ore’s air ambulance home base is located at the Crescent City, California airport (KCEC, Jack McNamara Field), and we have satellite bases in Arcata, California (KACV) and Brookings, Oregon (KBOK). All fixed-wing pilots and medical personnel are direct employees of Cal-Ore Life Flight. Since 1989, Cal-Ore has been certified by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) as a Commercial Air carrier and operates under our own Part 135 certificate. We keep this certification by meeting and maintaining FAA standards for flight operations, maintenance, and training.
Cal-Ore also provides fixed-wing aircraft and pilots to Reach’s North Bend, Oregon, base.
