Cal-Ore operates eight fully-equipped Advanced Life Support (ALS) ambulances to support those members of our community who need immediate medical care. All of our ambulances are equipped with state-of-the-art ALS equipment, including ZOLL cardiac monitors with 12-lead EKG defibrillators and pacing capability, Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP) machines and EZ Intraosseous infusers. Our vehicles also offer rear compartment heat and air conditioning.

Cal-Ore Life Flight maintains a Mass Casualty Unit. This vehicle is equipped with the supplies necessary to triage and treat up to 350 patients. These include backboards, a communications center, a Class B Hazmat Suit, a portable decontamination shower, generators, water and food, along with many other items pertinent to providing medical attention and support in the case of a catastrophic event. Upon request, this vehicle can respond to any mass casualty incident in Curry and Del Norte Counties, as well as surrounding areas. The Cal-Ore Mass Casualty Unit is funded in part by the Mildred A. Perry Revocable Living Trust.
